Terms of Service

Effective May 2, 2026

By creating a Parlo account or using our app, you agree to these Terms. Read them carefully — they cover what Parlo will and won't do on your behalf.

1. The service

Parlo is an AI-powered voice assistant that places phone calls to third-party businesses on your request, surfaces transcripts and outcomes, and lets you receive return calls from the AI when a long-running task completes.

2. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EU/UK).
  • You must not use Parlo from a country subject to a comprehensive US embargo, or be on a denied-party list.
  • You must comply with the laws of every jurisdiction in which you place calls — including two-party-consent recording laws, fraud and harassment laws, and consumer-protection rules.

3. Account responsibility

  • Your account is bound to your phone number. Keep your number, your voice PIN, and your device secure. We’ll treat any call placed from a verified session as authorised by you.
  • You may not impersonate someone else, register on behalf of a third party without consent, or use a number you do not lawfully control.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Parlo to:

  • Place calls that are illegal, harassing, threatening, or fraudulent.
  • Place automated outbound marketing or political calls (TCPA-style robocalls). Parlo is a personal assistant, not a robocaller.
  • Impersonate emergency services or a government agency.
  • Bypass rate limits, app-store policies, or our security controls (App Check, Play Integrity, etc.).
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, or train competing AI models on the service.

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these rules or if regulators require us to.

5. Calls + recordings

When Parlo calls a business on your behalf, the call is made from a Parlo-owned phone number. The AI may identify itself as your assistant. You are responsible for confirming that your call is lawful in both your jurisdiction andthe recipient’s. Recordings are stored only for the retention windows in our Privacy Policy.

6. Paid features + balance

Parlo includes free credits and a paid balance for additional call time. Paid balance is non-refundable except where required by law, does not expire while your account is active, and is forfeited when the account is closed.

7. Third-party services

Parlo relies on Twilio for telephony, OpenAI for speech, AWS for hosting, and Google Firebase for auth and push delivery. Their terms apply to the parts of the service they power; outages on their side may interrupt calls and notifications.

8. Intellectual property

Parlo, the Parlo logo, and the app are our property. You retain ownership of the content you submit (your voice, your transcripts). You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to process that content solely to operate the service for you.

9. Disclaimer

The service is provided “as is”. The AI can misunderstand you, mishear the other party, or place a wrong call. Always verify outcomes for anything that matters (bookings, payments, deliveries) before relying on them. We disclaim all warranties to the maximum extent permitted by law.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the service is capped at the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) US$50. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.

11. Termination

  • You can delete your account at any time.
  • We can suspend or terminate the service for any user who violates these Terms, with notice when feasible.
  • On termination, sections 5 (recordings retention), 8 (IP), 9–10 (disclaimers and liability), and 12 (governing law) survive.

12. Governing law + disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Morocco, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of Casablanca, except where applicable consumer law gives you the right to your local courts.

13. Changes

We’ll post any material change here with a new effective date and notify active users in-app. If you don’t agree to the update, stop using the service before the effective date.
